Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year or Spring Festival, is a celebration rooted in ancient traditions. The celebration marks the start of the lunar calendar and is widely observed by Asian communities. The holiday falls on a different date each year, usually between late January and mid-February.
Historically, Lunar New Year was a time for honoring deities and ancestors. In recent years, it has evolved into a period of family gatherings, feasts, and cultural performances. This year is the Year of the Snake. Lunar New Year kicks off on January 29 and concludes on February 12.
