Tomorrow is National Pi Day!
Pi Day is the official annual celebration of the mathematical sign. The holiday was founded by physicist Larry Shaw in 1988; however, it wasn’t until 2009, when the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation to formally recognize Pi Day. Shaw selected the date, March 14th, because the numerical date (3.14) represents the first three digits of pi, and Albert Einstein’s birthday.
Math Facts
- Pi (Greek letter “π”) represents the ratio of circle circumference to its diameter, which is approximately 3.14159 in mathematics.
- The number Pi has been calculated to more than 50 trillion digits beyond its decimal point.
- The number is irrational and transcendental, so it will continue without repetition or pattern indefinitely.
For typical calculations, pi only requires a few digits; however, for math enthusiasts, pi's infinite nature is fun to memorize and compute.

Blaze Pizza: Customers can buy one 11-inch pizza and get a second one for just $3.14. Additionally, Blaze Pizza is providing a promo code in its app for another buy-one-get-one deal, redeemable through the end of March.
7-Eleven: Members of 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards can purchase a whole pizza for $3.14 at participating locations or via the 7NOW app.
Burger King: Royal Perks members can get a free Hershey Pie on March 14 when they spend $3.14 or more.
Pizza Hut: This year on Pi Day, the pizza chain giant is launching its "Pizza Charcuterie" for purchase. For $24.99, foodies get two medium pizzas, eight boneless chicken wings and a selection of breadsticks with dips.
CiCi's Pizza: Customers who buy one medium or large one-topping pizza can purchase a second pizza for $3.14. This offer is available for both in-store and online orders using the promo code "PIDAY."
California Pizza Kitchen: CPK Rewards members can buy an Original BBQ Chicken, Pepperoni, or Traditional Cheese pizza for $3.14 with any $25 purchase. This offer is available for dine-in, takeout, or delivery.
BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse: Buy any full-size "Pizookie" and get a second one for $3.14
Domino’s Pizza: Domino’s is giving customers a $3 “tip” for a limited time only when they order their pizza online and pick it up in-store rather than having it delivered. Additionally, customers can earn a $3 coupon code on any carry-out order exceeding $5 through May 22.
