I remember when my eldest son, AKA the "Coder" wanted to play soccer. He was four years old at the time, and it was his first year navigating the autism journey. It was never his desire to play competitive soccer. He just wanted to play for fun. As a parent, I was concerned he might be treated differently because he's autistic.
