Schools will be closed on February 17th for Richmond Public Schools, while schools are closed on February 17th and 18th for Henrico County Public Schools. Hanover County Public Schools students will now have class on February 17th.

Half-Day Camp: Be a Shelter Helper Hero (February 17th & 18th)- SPACES FULL
Two half-day camp options:
9 a.m. to noon for pre-K (must be age 5) and kindergarten
1 to 4 p.m. for grades 1-5
ALL NEW! Immerse yourself as a shelter helper hero and get a sneak peak into what we do here at the Richmond SPCA! Activities will include
- making enrichment items for our animals
- creating your own superhero animal
- playing games
- interacting with our pets who are awaiting adoption

Rising Star
Feb. 17, 2025 at Virginia Rep Center for pre-K (must be age 5) and kindergarten
5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Students and parents will receive an introduction to performance and get to experience and explore their stage presence, playing with an ensemble, and taking direction from a Teaching Artist. It’s a fun way to dip a toe into the world of performance at a young age.

4-H Ready, Set Camp (February 18th)
Gear up for an unforgettable 4-H camp experience with this exciting full-day workshop designed for first-time 4-H campers! From outdoor skills and campfire traditions to team-building games and class exploration, this workshop introduces all the magic of 4-H camp. Whether they’re ready to conquer the ropes course or excited for the evening campfire, “Ready, Set, Camp!” is your child’s first step to creating lifelong memories at 4-H Camp!๐๏ธ๐ถ๐ตโ๏ธ๐ฅThis workshop is designed for first-time 4-H campers who will be between the ages of 9 and 13 as of September 30, 2025.
